Making Learning Real
Projects are all about making the learning real. Every project is purposeful and relevant to the real world, creating real learning experiences.
High quality resources are used to enable the children to find out for themselves and explore their learning. The children know the reason why they are taught each individual skill and they know how and when they will need to use it.
We believe that learning should extend beyond the classroom. This is why we place an importance with using our school grounds, the local community and inspiring learning trips.
The wider the range of stimuli, the more likely it is that our children will engage with the project.
We often use film, television, music and books to provide material that the children are engaged with to make learning real for them.
We try to invite many visitors into school in order to expose our children to adults with relevant, real life expertise.
